Am I crazy?

In my last post I mentioned that my birthday is coming up, and my hubby and mom have been asking me what I want as a present. To both of them I said I would like an afternoon alone to get a much needed massage (that is already paid for, thanks to a baby shower gift), and they both laughed at me. I wasn't kidding and I am a little sketchy on why this is so funny, so I ask, "Am I crazy?" Their reactions have made me feel even crazier because I am starting to believe that I will seriously not have a moment alone anytime in the future. I am going to go downstairs and eat some M & M's and sulk...

By the way, Max ate (by this I mean spit on his bib) bananas (his first solid food) today. It was momentous and adorable

And also a bit traumatic........

I felt bad for the poor little guy because I think I tried a bit too close to nap time. Tomorrow we will try earlier :)

That is the saddest banana face I have ever seen! :(

As for the b-day gift, I think it sounds wonderful and not crazy in the least. For Mother's Day last year, I told Bryan all I wanted to do was drive to the outlet mall and shop by myself. Bryan thought that was odd, but it was incredible. I say go for it!!

You are far from crazy. NExt time they ask say "Seriously, I want my massage" NOT JOKING!!! Any alone time is always rejuvenating!! Take what you can get! A bonus- they only need to watch the kids as your massage is paid for! What alittle sad face he was making. I wanted to reach through the computer and give him a hug!! Congrats though on starting the solid foods! A big step! :)

Um, I don’t get why it’s funny either. Then again, Michael chastised me for the girls’ weekend last weekend, saying that he was getting a hotel in Teays Valley for a “Michael weekend.” I told him when he started doing 90% of the housework, getting up with the kids nearly every night and still working 60 hours a week then he could have a free 36 hours.

Besides, what better birthday gift can you ask for- it’s FREE!
